Thanks to his uncle, a chef at Jean-Pierre Robinot’s Ange-Vin restaurant in Paris, Cédric Fleury was introduced to natural wines in the 90s. The passion was passed on and has remained with him ever since. The first part of his professional career was spent in humanitarian aid abroad.

He took advantage of his returns to France to meet winemakers at wine fairs and visit estates. After a fine harvest with Thierry and Jean-Marie Puzelat (Clos du Tue-bœuf) in 2002, he gradually discovered the trade between assignments with his friend Renaud Guettier (Domaine de la Grapperie), based on the hillsides of the Loir since 2004.

In 2013, the turning point was reached ; Cédric Fleury began a professional reconversion through the Lycée Agricole d’Amboise, with the firm intention of setting up in his native area Vendôme. He first worked at Domaine de Montrieux for Emile Hérédia, which was taken over by Ariane Lesné, before setting up his own domaine “ Les Gauchers ” in 2017, acquiring 2.6 hectares of vines.

In 2020, the estate added a 0.6-hectare plantation of Pineau d’Aunis using massal selection.

In 2021, it expanded significantly, taking over 3.7 hectares of vines in own production. “ Les Gauchers “ now cultivates almost 7 hectares.

In 2023, the estate sold one parcel, concentrating on three separate islets, six parcels and less than 6 hectares.
